Sieged Areas around Damascus

In the last 1-2 years several areas in Syria and in particular around Damascus and in Homs have been under siege with civilians inside the trapped villages and towns unable to get in or out or get access to food. Women, children, and elderly people inside such sieged areas are literally being starved to death. It has in some cases been possible to get food aid and baby milk in under a lot of duress and with the lives of activists at stake. However, helping others and bringing life-giving food to innocent women and children are ongoing priorities of so many humanitarian activists who will do what it takes to bring basic, dignified relief to civilians.

In this footage here you see a determined mother in Madaya, but originally from Daraya, requesting us to keep sending her and her fellow mothers infant milk for their young babies and children in roder for them to be able to eat and survive.
